I never wanted to be a Myobu or a Celestial Kitsune...so why am I one now?

A brownish-orange kitsune sat down next to a tree. Her golden-red eyes examining everything from the patches of grass on the forest floor to the birds in the trees.
"Where am I?...Who am I?"
She looked behind herself at her 5 tails.
"That's right... My name is Yuki, 700 years old and...what else? I don't remember anything besides that..."
She heard the grass behind her rustle.
"Who's there?" she bellowed standing up and turning around; her tails went ablaze and her markings glowed.
A rabbit hopped out of the grass but before the kitsune could even realize that, it ran away. The kitsune's stomach growled but she ignored it.
"I have other things to do. I'll eat later."
Her tails and markings returned to normal and she walked towards a clearing in the center of the forest.
"What is this place?"
A strong breeze ruffled her fur and a memory rushed back to her...
It was night. An unfamiliar kitsune with 9 tails was standing in front of her.
"Father? What is going on?"
"Be quiet Yuki!"
She stayed silent as some other kitsune, each having 8 tails, came into view.
"Myobu." One of them muttered.
"Get out of here now nogitsune! Before you get hurt!" the one Yuki called "Father" bellowed.
"Do you think the Celestial Kitsune can actually defeat the Void Kitsune? I doubt that is so!" The other had replied...
"Father? Who or where is he? Myobu...Nogitsune...Celestial Kitsune...Void Kitsune...What are those?" she asked the air.
She could hear the birds chirping in the distance.
"Never mind that...I have to find out where I am."
She lifted her head and sniffed the air.
"The rain...is coming..."

A Redish-brown male kitsune, sleeping under a tree was awakened by a raindrop from the sky. "Rain?" he asked the air looking at the dark clouds. The sun was fading away so he decided to move to a drier place. When he was about to stand up, he heard a familiar voice that he might have heard before coming behind him. He doesn't really know but he felt something weird. He turned back and saw a brownish-orange kitsune. For some reasons, his scar glowed. He observed the kitsune carefully. *A Celestial Kitsune!* He looked at her closely. *No... I must not judge... She might be a friend.* He moved closer to the kitsune.
“Hello, mind if I sit here?” He asked the Kitsune and waited for the answer.

He moved a few steps back.
"No! I mean no harm..." he stopped and sat down "I am Kenshi- I mean Akio. It wasn't really nice to ask my name without you telling yours first. But I don't mind that." said Akio and chuckled slightly.
"You look cute when you're mad!" he said and smiled at her.

Yuki was taken aback. She wasn't being kind at all and yet this kitsune, Akio he said, was still being nice to her. She wondered if this was what she was like before she lost her memories...
"My name is...Yuki."
Her markings stopped glowing and her tail was back to normal. But she still kept her guard up; after all, he could be an enemy disguised as a friend.
"You look cute when you're mad!"
Yuki had no answer to this. The brown-orange kitsune glared at Akio before turning around and lying down on the grass so as to not let the kitsune see her blush.
"It seems as though the rain won't stop anytime soon." she said quietly. She felt...akward.
*What did he mean by that...?*

"That is a nice name" he said then he smiled again.
She was his first acquaintance since the old fox died so he was doing his best to make her happy. His thought of revenge vanished away for a while in his mind and was replaced by a question. *Could we be friends*
"It seems as though the rain won't stop anytime soon."
"huh?" he looks at her confusedly. He didn't understood her well. He was thinking of something else.
Raindrops became larger as they fell.
"I think we should find a drier place. Look! There's a huge hole under that tree." He said then he walked to the tree.
He looked at Yuki once more and said "Don't worry, I don't think, I'm your enemy." He looked back at the hole. It was abandonned. "No one's in there." he said and looked at Yuki again with a smile in his maw.

Yuki looked at the hole and watched as Akio walked towards the tree.
"Don't worry, I don't think I'm your enemy."
She looked at him curiously before saying, "How can we be sure?"
After all, he could be one of those Void Kitsune...
*I think I'm a Celestial Kitsune...He could be a Void Kitsune...But what about the Myobu and Nogitsune? Is he a nogitsune?*
"No one's in there."
She looked at the male; confusion evident in her golden-red orbs. She realized he was talking about the hole and she twitched an audit in annoyance with herself.
*I must pay attention...He might say something of importance...*
She smiled inwardly at the thought. How could this reddish-brown kitsune say anything of importance? He was being nice and was helping her, sure. But what if that was the only nice thing to be said about him?
*Don't under estimate your enemy.* she told herself. *You're getting cocky.*

He entered the hole before he became completely wet.
"How can we be sure?"
"Uumm... I don't know. I just feel like it." said Akio. He looked at her then smiled. Some memories rushed back to his mind.
"Who are they?!" asked Akio looking at a pack of kitsune rushing towards them.
"They are the Celestial Kitsune!" said a reddish-brown kitsune with golden eyes that were full of hate and anger. He raised his hackles and flattened his ears curling up black lips that revealed sharp canines as he turned to face the oncoming Celestial Kitsune.
"We should kill in order to live! That's the only way for us to prove our existance." Akio shouted fiercely. He prepared to attack.
He shooked his head and turned back. *Was that my...father?... Am I like that before? How can I be so rude? He asked himself. He curled-down and closed his eyes to rest.
"Are you...a...a... a Celestial Kitsune?" he asked with his voice as soft as can be. He didn't waited for the answer and went to a peaceful sleep.

Yuki followed the male into the hole.
"Uumm... I don't know. I just feel like it."
She looked at the reddish-brown kitsune and saw him smile at her. She slowly shook her head thinking, *How can a male be so...carefree?* She saw Akio shaking his head like her but he seemed to be trying to shake some memory away from his mind...
"Are you...a...a... a Celestial Kitsune?"
She heard him ask as he curled up to go to sleep. He said in a voice so soft she could barely hear it.
"...Maybe. Why do you ask?"
But Akio was already asleep.

It was midday, in fall. The ground was covered with twigs and brown and golden leaves. A clan of kitsune were resting on their territory. Some were taking care of the young and the old. Others were guarding their ground. Akio was among them. Loud noises covered the silence.
"Who are they?!" asked Akio looking at a pack of kitsune rushing towards them.
"They are the Celestial Kitsune!" said a reddish-brown kitsune with golden eyes that were full of hate and anger. He raised his hackles and flattened his ears curling up black lips that revealed sharp canines as he turned to face the oncoming Celestial Kitsune.
"We should kill in order to live! That's the only way for us to prove our existance." Akio shouted fiercely. He prepared to attack.
The kitsunes who cannot fight was brought somewhere safer.
"All is set, Ken-sama!" said one kitsune.
"Father, they are near!" said Akio facing the kitsune he talked to a while ago. "He turned to the Celestial kitsune and smile with an evil look.
Soon, the Celestial Kitsune reached their grounds. The battle had started. The birds flew overheard and blood spread to the ground. The Dark Kitsune was winning.
Akio saw a female kitsune injured. He cannot see her face but he took the chance to kill her.
"Die!" he shouted as he ran closer to her and open his mouth to bite. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Akio snapped awake, gasping looking around in confusion. There were no Celestial Kitsune, no loud noises, and no distressed cries of clan members. He realised it had all been a dream. He shook his head and looked at Yuki.

Yuki sat down on the ground. She didn't bother trying to wake up the other kitsune because he could be more tired than she was. Who knew where Akio came from? Whether it was from this land or somewhere far off, Yuki didn't know. The brownish-orange kitsune looked outside and saw the rain had stopped. The only sound was that of the raindrops falling onto the already wet ground from the leaves of the trees she saw earlier.
"It seems that the rain has stopped..." she said quietly. It was a pointless statement; she didn't want to wake the male, she just wanted to break the silence. She looked Akio. He seemed to be dreaming.
*I want to explore...I doubt he'd mind...If I can just...*
As she moved away, Akio woke up gasping as though he had a nightmare. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, either way, she stopped and sat down again.
"I'm sorry, I fell asleep."
"That's ok. You must be really tired. Go back to sleep. The rain has stopped so I will explore this land a bit."
This kitsune was nice to Yuki, so she decided to be nice to him; even though she didn't really mean it.

He went out of the hole and looked at the wet grounds. Memories again rushed back to his head. ----------- The battle was over... Akio was lying down with extreme exhaution. The ground was covered with blood and dead kitsune. He slowly stood up and went to his clan members. Some were still breathing. He saw his father's body and went beside him. He was still alive.
"Father! Please wake up." He said as he tried to wake his father up by liking his face. ----------
Akio shook his head again and looked at Yuki. *Why am I like this?... Who could this kitsune really be?...Why do memories came rushing to my mind?"

*...He might be telling the truth...I guess I have to be polite anyways...*
"Ok." she said with a false smile. She started to walk away when he suddenly shook his head and looked back at her.
"Are you ok?"
She was worried about the male, in a way. He wasn't a friend whatever a friend was, but he was nice and, as she decided before, she was going to be 'nice' to him.
As she walked towards the male, she suddenly remembered the memory that had come back to her earlier and recieved another one...
She was running with her family...away from other kitsune who were chasing them.
"Can't we fight them, Father?"
"You don't understand what's going on, Yuki. And don't try to either. We fought them before and we lost...Maybe they were right...the Celestial Kitsune can't defeat the Voi-" said a female kitsune said before Yuki's father interupted.
"We can defeat them...We just weren't prepared!" said Yuki's father.
"Don't talk like that! You know we can't beat them, -----!" the female kitsune said.
One of the kitsune chasing Yuki's family ran up to them before the others.
"That's right! You weak Celestial Kitsune -and all the other Kitsune- cannot beat us!" It said...
She stopped walking. Horror was the only feeling in her golden-red orbs. She tensed then fainted.
((OOC: Done! Oh, and like Sakura in TRC, Yuki doesn't remember anything! More specifically, her parent's names! And she might not ever know...*evil laugh* It'd be nice if we make truly evil characters who'd tell Yuki the truth and make her turn against you! Mwahahaha! Good kitsune become bad in this land! Mwahahaha!!))
